FROM AND TO
Schiedam is easily accessible by public transport. When using 9292.nl enter ‘Station Schiedam Centrum’ and this service will give you your specific travel itinerary. From Schiedam Station, two routes lead directly to the city center, where most of the festival takes place. Just follow the Fotofestival Schiedam and S’DAM signing. The walking distance to the various locations is between 5 and 12 minutes. See the map for more information.
TRAM AND METRO
From Rotterdam, you can take tram 21 and 24 which will take you to Schiedam in about 15 minutes. You need to exit at the stop called ‘Koemarkt’. Check ret.nl or 9292.nl for the most actual timetables.
Prefer to travel by car? Schiedam is easily accessible but please note that in and around the center of Schiedam there is paid parking (€ 1.90 per hour). In some narrow residential areas close to shops, it is only possible to buy a day ticket.
Paid parking is valid on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 09:00 to 20:00 hours, on Thursdays (late-night shopping) from 09:00 to 21:00 hours and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 17:00 hours. Parking is free on Sundays and public holidays. This also applies to shopping Sundays (the first Sunday of the month).
Explore the festival and Schiedam by bike? Take the OV Bicycle or rent a bike at Station Schiedam. From Rotterdam city center a cycle to Schiedam takes approximately 25 minutes.
During the festival, there is a boat shuttle between a number of locations. More details will be online soon.
We aim to make the festival as accessible as possible for visitors with special needs, but we are limited by the architecture or facilities of some of the historical and extraordinary locations. Curious about the possibilities or limitations? Feel free to contact us via email@example.com or send us a message via Facebook.
